Nighttime Routines To Make Your Mornings Better


Everyone knows that person who is always in the office first. There is a pretty good chance that they are probably doing some nighttime routines to make their mornings flow much easier. More and more are associated mornings with workplace productivity. So, if we give ourselves a head start by doing things at night before we sleep we can become even more efficient.

Here are some simple things that can be done in a short amount of time:

Plan your MIT's: Listing your Most Important Tasks before you sleep. If you wake up drowsy or groggy it's ok because you already have the major tasks laid out!

Journal Your Thoughts: If you constantly have random thoughts and/or issues going through your brain, it's important to try to clear your mind. Writing is therapeutic and journaling your thoughts can free up your mind to think about less stressful things. It will help you come up with those MIT's or fresh ideas.

Relax Doing Your Favorite Activity: In order to get plenty of rest, spend time on your favorite activity before going to sleep. Reading a book, scrapbooking, or watching one of your favorite movies, are all great activities to help you unwind. It's important to give your mind the rest it deserves.

Pick Out Your Clothes: Check tomorrow's weather before bedtime so you can select your outfit. You can save the time and stress of pondering and flipping through your closet in the morning while you're barely awake and groggy.

Make Your Lunch Beforehand: If you are planning to make dinner tonight simply make enough to pack in a container to bring to work. Also, if you are packing your kid's lunch why not pack yours too? There is an obvious reason as to why you pack their lunch beforehand..so you don't have to rush to do it in the morning! There are also a ton of make-ahead recipes and meal ideas online that can help you save time.
